| Recent
trials have led to the successful metal coating of timber materials that
has been further developed to give a stunning appearance to ordinary timber
boards and profiles. This has led to the establishment of RFI Timber Metallics, whose focus is to commercialise and further develop the unique Lignasheen™ product. |

| Most types of timber can be treated with the Lignasheen™ process but best results are acheived on timber having a pronounced grain pattern, particularly soft woods. In processing, the graining in the timber is enhanced by raising it above the surrounding material. Subsequently, the raised grains are then metal coated in one or more pure metals, depending on colours and finishes required. | |
